Something about engagement photos makes some people think they’re models.

Ah, the subtle “look at the ring!” photo. Although this one is pretty tame compared others.

WE WANT YOUR PHOTOS!
We are looking for engagement photo submissions from photographers! Think photos from years back when you were first getting started and didn’t know what you were doing. Did you get carried away with Photoshop? Get really creative with props and posing? Do you cringe at your old photos? Have some nightmare clients with interesting ideas?
Send them to badengagementphotos1@gmail.com and feel free to include any background on the session/photos and any links.

One day, I would like the guy to hold a sign that says, “She said no.” It would be so much more interesting.

This is cute because it appears to have be taken during the actual engagement. Love those candid shots! And could that Westie be posed any more perfectly?

I can’t speak for everyone, but I know that when I get tired of walking in a field with my boots on, I usually make my significant other carry me and then have someone take a photo.

Couple Mocks Familiar Engagement Photos

This has been making the rounds on the internet for a bit, but it’s still worth a look.

This couple clearly has an awesome sense of humor and wanted to poke fun at some of the ridiculously cheesy and overdone engagement photos.

Their seasoned photographer, Malia Moss, was more than happy to take a break from the tired poses and have some fun with reversing gender specific poses (woman with her leg up, showing off the ring) and exaggerating other popular concepts.

Hats off to Marian, Elliot and Malia for seeing the humor in engagement photos and not taking them so seriously.
